Laura hancock, flute Instructor

Laura Hancock is a student of Parker Taylor and Martha Rearick. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education, a Bachelor of Music degree in Flute Performance, and a Masters Degree in Varying Exceptionalities from the University of South Florida. She is currently pursing a Doctor of Worship Studies from Liberty University.

 

She has been the recipient of numerous awards including the John Philip Sousa Award, Outstanding Woodwind, the Dawn Zimmerman Award, the Jane and Harrison Covington Award, and the Sigma Alpha Iota Sword of Honor. She also won the Florida Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition and has been honored as Teacher of the Year in Tampa, Florida.
