          Ms. Sarah grew up in Athens, Georgia. She is a recent Mercer graduate, where she majored in Mathematics along with a minor in Education. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Education as fellow of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation with a focus in Secondary STEM Education. She will begin student teaching this fall and will graduate from the program in May of 2019.

          Ms. Sarah has an extensive background in both the Marching Arts and Winter Guard worlds. She began as a young dancer and continued to dance throughout high school. She was a member of the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps color guard for the 2011 – 2013 and the 2015 season. She was a part of the corps leadership team for the 2015 season and was also a soloist in 2012. Ms. Sarah also spent many years as a participating member of multiple organizations for Winter Guard International. She was a member of Aureus (2012), The Edge (2013), Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugles Corps winter guard (2014) and Atlanta Quest Visual Ensemble (2016 and 2018). She has participated in both WGI and DCI world class finals.

          Sarah’s prior experience with color guard instruction includes one year at Mount De Sales Academy, two years with the Oconee and North Oconee High School marching band programs, and one year with the Veterans High School color guard.

          This will be Ms. Sarah’s second year with the Veterans High School color guard. She is very excited to continue to work with Veterans and push the program to new heights.
