Chad Capers, Percussion instructor

Justin Chad Capers is a Warner Robins native. A graduate of Valdosta State University with a Bachelors of Business Administration in International Business and a Minor in Music. He will be pursuing his Juris Doctorate from Mercer University School of Law in the fall of 2019.

 

While at Valdosta state University Mr. Capers served as the Drum Major of the Valdosta State University Blazin’ Brigrade from 2013-2016 and was a contributing member to the VSU Percussion Studio, Jazz Program, and Vocal Department. He also spent the summer seasons of 2013 and 2014 as a contracted performer for the Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corps. The latter of which he served as captain of the front ensemble. 

 

Prior to joining the Veterans High School Percussion Staff, Mr. Capers has worked as a clinician for Colquitt County High School and Taylor County High School, and as a composer for the VSU Blazin Brigade. He looks forward to working with the VHS Percussion Program and taking it to the next level!

BAND NEWS!

$100 Marching Band Deposits & Intent Forms Due MONDAY JUNE 1ST

 

Students planning on participating in the 2020 Warhawk Squadron should turn in their intent forms and $100 marching band deposit by June 1st. No student will be denied a spot for financial difficulty.  Please email me or vhsbandtreasurer@gmail.com for more information.
